Milton Keynes dates announced for The National Lottery's Revive Live Tour

Dates have been announced with up-and-coming artists to perform at our Milton Keynes local music venues in collaboration with The National Lottery's Revive Live Tour 2022.

The Music Venue Trust (MVT), which represents hundreds of grassroots music venues, has announced more artists for this summer’s National Lottery Revive Live Tour with Rae Morris, Callum Beattie, Nimmo, The Twang, CVC, Clt Drp, The XCERTS, Declan Welsh & The Decadent West, Sick Joy and Low Girl joining the lineup.

Concorde 2 will be hosting a special show by Charli XCX, in Brighton on August 31st.

The dates have been announced and some up-and-coming artists will be performing at grassroots music venues The Craufurd Arms, Unit Nine, and MK11 Live Music Venue home to Milton Keynes.

The Craufurd Arms will have CVC on the 19th of August, The Twang on the 21st of August, and, THE GOA EXPRESS on the 26th of August. You will see a performance by Coach Party at MK11 Live Music Venue on the 1st of September and Callum Beattie will be taking the stage at Unit Nine on the 7th of September.

Head of Local music at MKFM Jodie Erica spoke to local music venues The Craufurd Arms and Unit Nine to see how the involvement with the Revive Live tour directly impacts them.

A spokesperson from The Craufurd Arms commented, "Having backing from the national lottery alongside the music venue trust really helps. Any kind of exposure for us and our local scene in Milton Keynes is important, especially considering after the last few years. The MK music scene is full of exciting, bright, and diverse talent. Music venues are not only the backbone of the music industry but also help to unite people, bands, and artists together. It's even better when the public discovers their new favourite band or artist through grassroots venues such as ourselves. We are excited to be a part of this."

We also spoke to a member of Unit Nine who said, “it’s such a great initiative and a positive show of support for independent venues throughout the country. Covid was a really tough time for everyone and the music industry was hit hard, so, we are grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this project.”

More than 20,000 tickets, or around half the capacity of these shows, will be gifted to National Lottery players, giving music fans the opportunity to enjoy great music in their local venues at an affordable price. Every National Lottery ticket holder who buys a ticket will be invited to bring a friend for free, all they need to do to qualify for this offer is to show a National Lottery ticket or a scratchcard purchased in-store or online via the National Lottery app when they attend the gig.
