Following two critically acclaimed West End runs and a sell-out UK Tour, Green Day’s explosive rock musical American Idiot returns to mark the show’s 10th anniversary and the 15th anniversary of the Grammy Award winning original album.

Winner of two Tony Awards® and the 2010 Grammy Award winner for Best Musical Show Album, American Idiot is the story of three boyhood friends, each searching for meaning in a post 9/11 world. The show features the music of Green Day with the lyrics of its lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong and book by Billie Joe Armstrong and Michael Mayer. This thrilling musical has had Green Day fans in rapture and introduced a generation of theatregoers to their powerful and moving musical style.

This epic tour comes from Selladoor Productions producers of Flashdance, Fame, Avenue Q and Little Shop of Horrors.

The music of the show will bring back fond memories to Milton Keynsians and Green Day fans alike, who attended the iconic American Idiot Tour at the MK Bowl back in 2005.  Now the seminal album has come full circle, and is returning to Milton Keynes in this smash hit musical.  The lyrics and book tell a deeply emotional story of political turmoil, rebellion, self-discovery, love, lust and loss… The show is an absolute must-see for fans of Green Day, and those who love experiencing truly first class musical theatre.

The musical stars a host of familiar faces and voices, with a cast headlined by Tom Milner (The Voice/Waterloo Road) and X-Factor favourites Luke Friend and Sam Lavery.
