Walk off the excesses of Christmas, and push away those January blues with this new event from WheelPower, the national charity for Wheelchair Sport.
In January 2021 we are launching the very first ‘WheelPower Winter Walk & Push’ as we all look to start the new year as we mean to go on, by doing some activity and helping boost our mental and physical health and wellbeing.
You will have the whole month to complete your challenges and it is up to you what you set the target distance as. Whether you want to push for 1 mile, walk a 5-mile route in one day, push for 20 miles over a fortnight, or walk 1 mile a day for the whole month, it’s entirely up to you! If you are local we will also be providing some routes in the Buckinghamshire area for you to explore (more details coming soon)
2020 has been an incredibly tough year for our charity as we saw a 50% loss in income, so now more than ever, every single penny you can raise for WheelPower will even more appreciated. The Winter Walk & Push will raise much needed funds for WheelPower, transforming the lives of thousands of disabled children and newly injured adults in the last 16 years. Every pound raised by you will help us continue our vital work at Stoke Mandeville Stadium and beyond.
For all those fundraisers out there, we have some extra motivation for you! If you are able to raise or donate over £15 you will receive your very own WheelPower t-shirt!
Start 2021 by doing something amazing for charity and walk and push your way into supporting disabled people throughout the UK to get active this new year.
