Come and find out about the fascinating science happening at our local University and research institutions. Speakers from The Open University, Cranfield University and Rothamsted Research will share their research right in the middle of the busy centre:mk shopping centre. Find out how insects smell, travel back in time to discover how rocks can tell us about climate change and which bits of your car are made from recycled paper – and much more!
Soapbox Science is an international event that promotes women in science and brings their scientific discoveries direct to the public. There are no boring lectures just some of the world’s top women in science standing on a soapbox with a couple of silly props sharing their passion for research. Come along, join the fun and ask them lots of questions!
