Korfball every Thurs 6-7pm from 1st April - suitable for all adults including beginners- exciting mixed team sport outdoors
Korfball is back! Come and try the world's greatest mixed team sport (vaguely similar to netball/basketball but with our own set of rules) - everyone welcome of all skill/fitness levels including absolute beginners!
Since outdoor sport will be allowed again from 29th March 2021, we are restarting at the start of April - every Thursday from 6-7pm and looking for lots of new players. We will explain the rules if you don't know them! It's great for fitness, fun and meeting new people.
Our sessions will consist of some drills (socially distanced) to improve our korfball skills, then gameplay (this involves marking opponents but now has modified rules to improve safety) - everyone is welcome to either just do the drills, or do the gameplay too, or also start playing matches against other clubs.
Since we now need to maintain a register for track and trace, if you are coming, you need to book a space on our app https://spond.com/landing/group/FBSOS - everyone gets their first two sessions for free! Join the "group" and then book a space. Please only book a space if you are planning to come, and please cancel the space if you can't come, because we have a limit on numbers. Do not attend if you or any of your household have any Covid symptoms or if you have been asked to self-isolate. We do health screening at the start of the session, to keep everyone safe.
We are at Sport Central in CMK near the station, on the netball courts - just follow the one way system through the building and turn left.
We're also looking to restart kids sessions in spring 2021 - get in touch if you want us to keep you posted on that.
Looking forward to seeing you on court!
