Local musician Peter Hemsley, who has gigged with some of the greats – Robert Plant, Jimmy Page – is launching his new album, The Beauty of Time, with a concert in aid of St Mary’s Church, Shenley Church End on Sunday 16th June.

On the Beauty of Time album, Pete is playing the mesmerizingly hypnotic handpan known as the Hang alongside renowned singers and musicians who themselves have played with the likes of Massive Attack, Jethro Tull, Bill Withers, Take That and Yehudi Menuhin.

The music has an organic, calming, jazzy and ambient sound to it with the common thread weaving throughout being the hang. Pete’s website www.petehemsley.com has samples on it and more about the music and musicians involved.
