Step into the powerful world of Merlina Pearl, a bold new family friendly musical theatre production that tells the story of a young Jamaican woman who arrives in Britain with high hopes aboard the HMT Empire Windrush in 1948. But the reality she faces — of racial rejection, and resilience — is one that shaped generations.
Blending spoken word, original music, and moving drama, Merlina Pearl shines a light on the lived experiences of the Windrush generation and their lasting impact on British culture. It's a heartfelt tribute to legacy, strength, and the journey toward belonging.
Following a sold-out preview, the U.K. tour kicks off on Saturday 10th May 2025 at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance in Leeds, before travelling to Manchester, Birmingham, Milton Keynes, and London.
This is not just a story — it’s a reclamation of voice, history, and identity. Join us for an unforgettable night of theatre that educates, moves, and inspires.
We’ll be performing in Milton Keynes on 10th June (2:30pm & 7pm).
