In front of a sold out Lions Arena on Sunday, the Prestige Homes MK Lions picked up their first BBL Championship win of the season with a with convincing 98-82 victory over the Heat.

The Lions held a double-digit lead for virtually all of the final three quarters after a decisive burst to open the second period put them firmly in charge.

Heat worked hard to reduce the deficit to 44-39, but a 9-3 burst up to the half time break put Michael New’s team in control.

The third quarter saw fouls mount up for the Lions as Daniel Northern an d Howard Crawford raked them up. Stefan Gill marshalled the line for his team whilst Adrien Sturt also contributed.
