The H Factor

MKFM and Real Music MK teamed up with Hungry Horse venues in Milton Keynes for a massive talent search.

The winner of the national final will win £10,000 cash.

The local heats were hosted by MKFM's Darren D with judges including Kirstie 'The Duchess' Duffy and MKFM Programme Director, Chris Gregg.

Heats were held on Thursdays at the Broughton Hotel and Fridays at The Tawny Owl.

Regional Final

Nikki Whitaker and Moon Williams represented MK at the regional final on 20th October 2012 hosted by MKFM and Real Music MK.

The regional winner was Michael Morgan from Peterborough who is through to the National Final.

Nikki came second and Moon came third, so well done to them. Photos from the night are here:

Broughton Hotel Final

The final of the Broughton Hotel heats was held on Saturday 30th September. Congratulations to Moon Williams who will join Nikki Whitaker in the regional final in Northampton. We also raised £219 for the Food Bank and Macmillan Cancer Support in the raffle.

Finalists were Demi Hatter, Reece Chown, Moon Williams, Emily Price, Julian Stone, Yasmin Issaka, Scott Finlay, the band Orange Johnny, Soul Urban Poet featuring Ellie Antonini, Lauren Chudley, Ben Whyman, Nick Papadopolous.

How It Works

Sorry jugglers, we’re only looking for singers to take part - so if you’ve got the voice, or you can hustle together a group of up to 5 people to belt out a classic.

There are a limited number of places per pub. Entrants must be over 18 and proof of age may be required. Entrants will need to inform us of the song details prior to the event. Bands will need to provide any additional equipment themselves. Sorry, the competition is not open to Greene King employees. Manager’s decision is final and binding.

SEPTEMBER – Perform At Your Local = 1 Winner Per Pub

This one’s easy.

Turn up to your local and show us what you’ve got! Heats will be held in September.

Successful applicants will be given a performance date in their entry confirmation email. One winner per pub will go on to a regional heat.

OCTOBER – 10 X Regional Heats = 1 Winner Per Region To Go To The National Final!

Battle against the best at the regional heat on 20th or 27th October.

You will be required to travel to one of our pubs somewhere in the UK.

We can’t pay for your travel expenses but there will be food and drink provided for you and your hungry fans. 10 winners will go on to perform at the final.

NOVEMBER – National Final = 1 Winner Gets £10,000!

This is the big one and will take place on Saturday 24th November.

10 talented singers will perform to win a whopping £10,000 and a day in a recording studio.

Don’t be shy – bring your friends, fans and family because if you win big, the first round’s on you!
