The fabulous FREE Great Linford Waterside Festival is one of the biggest free community events in Milton Keynes and it took place from Friday 15th to Sunday 17th June 2012 at Great Linford Manor Park
The event's been an established part of the Summer calendar in MK for over ten years and featured a diverse range of musical acts and attractions to keep everyone entertained.
The weekend had a fabulous start on Friday evening in Linford Manor Grounds, where there was a ‘Picnic in the Park’ with great music for everyone and also something for the kids - The Great Gappo was performing.
All day Saturday and Sunday saw a full programme of live music, including many local bands, arts, stalls and attractions in the grounds of Great Linford Manor Park.
Stage 2 gave enthusiastic young people the opportunity to perform music or poetry on stage.
In the courtyard of Artworks MK were a host of artist led activity and there was a Heritage Craft project with live demonstrations and talks.
There were also junior football matches, a variety of dancing displays, art workshops, craft stalls, charity stalls and sideshows, fairground rides, bouncy castle, historical walk, and a full programme in the church plus a barbeque, beer tent, ice cream and food.
On Saturday and Sunday mornings there was a circular bicycle ride around Milton Keynes led by Phil Ashbourn and there was also a Dog Show on the Sunday.
