Open Mic Contest 2011

MKFM and Real Music MK's Open Mic contest has found its winner - well done to Scott Finley who has been crowned the champion live on MKFM on 107FM from First Base at City Limits.

After 7 heats and two first semi finals, the under 18s final took place at First Base Bar in City Limits, Xscape with amazing performances by Sophie Clark, Aaron Alderman, Bailey McConnell and Krystall Bird.

Congratulations to Sophie Clark who won the prize for the Under 18s and will be perfoming along with Aaron as special guests at the Over 18s Grand Final.  She also won a cash prize to get her on her way in the music business plus a recording session at RGS studio and a professional photo shoot from Picture Perfect Photography.

Celebrity judges for the final included X Factor finalist Rosie Ribbons, Alonestar and The Artful Dodger.

The prize for the over 18s was a complete package with the chance to record your first studio at the fantastic RGS Entertainment studio, plus a makeover and photoshoot from justshootme.com.  There will also be a launch party for the single at First Base and the chance to co-host a show on MKFM too!  It's an amazing package.
