The Three Locks Golf Club is a golfers haven run by passionate people. Course manager Peter Critchley and his team work hard to ensure you’ll always find the course in great condition whatever time of year you choose to visit.

Three Locks is a place that relies on course management.  Finesse, accuracy and correct positioning of the ball will all be rewarded, players trying to overpower the course will very likely be heavily penalised. This is a true golfers course.

As well as enjoying a round of golf, visitors to the course also appreciate the hospitality, good food and bar facilities on offer at the inviting clubhouse that sees societies and guest groups return year after year.

Boasting a strong and mixed membership Three Locks is open minded about more casual golfers, offering pay and play membership which entitles golfers to reduced green fees.

The Three Locks Golf Club was established in 1992 as a 9 hole golf course where golfers of all standards can play in a mature setting and enjoy a warm welcome and good challenge.

The course was extended just three years later in June 1995 and over the years with the help of the forestry commission, 10,000 new trees have been planted adding definition to this already stunning setting.

Built alongside the Grand Union Canal and with the River Ouzel weaving its way through the course, it’s unsurprising that there are so many natural water hazards that come into play testing the nerves of all standards of golfer.

The river is in play on five holes with the approach shots on the 15th and 7th greens requiring a correct yardage and clean striking to avoid going down amongst the fishes. In addition to the river, the lakes, ponds and ditches have been cleverly incorporated in the courses design.

Membership

We have an active membership at The Three Locks Golf Club. Any new members are always made very welcome by the existing membership. This ensures you have the chance to meet like-minded golfers, find playing partners and enjoy a social drink in the bar.

The Three Locks is not a members club in the classic sense and is privately owned. Although we do have a regular flow of visiting golfers our members never have a problem getting a game and the course is always in excellent condition.

We offer different kinds of membership including 5 and 7 day membership, joint membership and reductions for seniors and juniors. Click here to view the costs of Annual Subscriptions.

We also offer a ‘Reduced Green Fee’ membership. This enables you to enjoy the flexibility of pay and play golf at reduced cost, whilst benefiting from the advantages of golf club membership. Why not come along and enjoy a round as a visitor to see what membership at The Three Locks could offer you?
