History
The Milton Keynes Snooker Club was founded in 1985 and aims to offer the best snooker and pool experience in Milton Keynes.
When the club first opened there were originally 6 full sized snooker tables, all supplied brand new by Karnehm & Hillman, suppliers of the 1977 - 1979 World Professional Championship tables. The tables were covered with the finest grade 'West of England' cloth, over precision floated slates. Top quality equipment, balls and cues were provided.
Over the years since opening, the club's success has ensured expansion, and the club now sports 12 full size snooker tables, all fitted to similar standards to the original 6 tables. The club also now has a UK pool table which replaced snooker Table 4.
Confirmation of the clubs quality and popularity is confirmed by the requests for tables from teams who play in the Milton Keynes City Snooker League, where teams battle it out every Monday evening. The Milton Keynes Snooker Club is proud to be a sponsor of the league, and also provide more tables for teams than any other club in the area.
Since January 2007 the club has been under new ownership, and the Matchroom snooker table has now been upgraded to Professional Specification.
